Tibet Autonomous Region is located western part of the China border with Nepal, Bhutan, and India. It was overlaid on the traditional Tibetan regions of U-Tsang and Kham. It is a province-level entity of the People’s Republic of China. Tibet Autonomous Region is divided into seven prefecture-level divisions and six prefecture-level cities.
